Batman has been on the big screen since 1943. Let us know who is your favorite Caped Crusader.
Oscar-winner Christian Bale has reportedly donned the cape and cowl for the last time in “The Dark Knight Rises.” Here is a look at five of his predecessors – some good, some bad.
Lewis Wilson – He wasn’t great, but I just wanted to invoke the 1943 movie serial to show how obsessed I am. It is corny, but so is the 1949 follow-up with Robert Lowery.
Adam West – The 1960s TV series and big screen film were supposed to be campy – and were they ever.
Michael Keaton – Comic book fans were shocked when the “Beetlejuice” actor got the coveted role in 1989, but his performance was nothing to laugh at.
Val Kilmer – So bad, so terribly bad I longed for Adam West to return to the role.
George Clooney – It was not a stretch for Clooney to play a millionaire playboy, but the future Oscar winner lacked the grit to be a vigilante.
