Post your choices for the biggest stinkers to hit the big screen.
Pothole Pictures kicks off its season on Sept. 28. It is sponsoring a worst-ever film election. Here are five nominees, excluding the obvious “Howard the Duck” and most Nicolas Cage films.
“The Postman” (1997) – It’s toss-up between this Kevin Costner post-apocalptic mess and his 1995 stinker “Waterworld.” But Costner had no one to blame for “The Postman” – he starred, produced and directed it.
“The Abyss” (1989) – Even James Cameron has a bad day. The “Titanic” director’s underwater sci-fi clunker cost a whopping $70 million to make and lost moeny at the box office.
“Incredible Mr. Limpett” (1964) – Don Knotts turns into a talking fish in a truly awful mix of live action and animation. A few years back, Hollywood considered a remake (surprise) with Jim Carrey in the lead role.
“Jack and Jill” (2011) – Adam Sandler plays Jack and his overbearing twin sister Jill. “Jack and Jill” is first film to sweep the Razzie Awards in every category.
“Tommy” (1975) – Ann-Margret writhes in cocoa and baked beans in director Ken Russell’s take on The Who’s classic rock opera.
