Halloween fun is all around! Here are 5 Great events...

Halloween’s just around the corner and there are lots of events in western Massachusetts that celebrate the spirit…and may just put a chill down your spine! Here are 5 Great ones...

1. Fright Fest at Six Flags – Weekends through October 28 in Agawam. New spooky attractions are added to the park in the month of October as Fright Fest takes over Six Flags New England. Chills are mild by day; wild by night, as visitors can see ghouls, goblins and zombies all around the grounds.

2. Candlelit Tour of Wistariahurst Museum – October 27 at 7 p.m. in Holyoke. Tour Wistariahurst by candlelight if you dare! Walk through the darkened hallways and rooms of the spooky Skinner Mansion on a rare guided tour at night. Reservations necessary. Tickets $10 per person.

3. 13 Nights at Jiminy Peak – October 19, 20, 26, 27, 29,30 and 31, from 6:30-10 p.m. in Hancock. Explore the haunted history of Hancock, formerly known as the Plantation of Jericho Valley, with an evening featuring haunted tours, rides and more. Visitors also can ride the haunted Mountain Roller Coaster and the haunted Soaring Eagle Zip Ride. Ticket packages range in price from $25-$39.

4. Halloween Spooktacular – October 27 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. in Springfield. The Springfield Museums will hold a number of kid-friendly events including “Animals of the Night,” a laser show called “Halloween Laser Spooktacular,” art activities , Family Science Adventures and the Art Discovery Center. Most activities are free with museum admission.

5. Randall’s Corn Maze & Hayride – October 20, 21, 27, 28 (weather permitting) in Ludlow. Randall Farms not only great fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, bakery items and more, they also offer families a great Halloween tradition. From 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. guests can ride Randall’s Haywagon to the giant stalks and navigate the corn maze, then play some fun games. Come celebrate Randall’s 50th anniversary! $6 for children 5-12 years, $8 for adults. SuperTicket prices ($3 extra) include an Elsie's Creamery Ice Cream Cone.
