Though I've already made up my mind where the best doughnuts in the Pioneer Valley can be found, I'm still looking for a truly noteworthy Chinese restaurant. I love Chinese takeout; for me it's the perfect way to end up a day with a too-long to-do list and too little time in which to get it done. Whether I order something simple, like fried rice, or a more elaborate dish (Kung Pao chicken, perhaps), it can be reassuringly comforting to relax at home with a tasty meal neatly packed into those iconic white paper boxes.Unfortunately I've yet to discover the region's "best" when it come to Chinese food. I know I'd like to read opinion about where the best Chinese takeout can be found, or where the best place to go out to breakfast on a Sunday morning is, or who makes and sells the best French meat pies.
Your thoughts about any and all of the above are currently being welcomed at www.readerraves.com. Comments and voting will close on December 2, 2012.
As for the best donuts around -- well, in my humble opinion, they can be found at Donut Dip in West Springfield.
Their version of New York style crumb cake is, by the way, pretty darned good, too.
