"Two and a Half Men" producers are no strangers to controversy having fended off tirades from former star Charlie Sheen, but now another cast member is causing waves.

Angus T. Jones, who plays young Jake Harper on the raunchy CBS sitcom, has dismissed the hit show as "filth," and urged viewers to turn it off.

In a video posted on YouTube by the Forerunner Christian Church, Jones called Jake Harper "a nonexistent character ... If you watch 'Two and a Half Men,' please stop watching 'Two and a Half Men.' I'm on 'Two and a Half Men,' and I don't want to be on it."

Halfway through the church's 14-minute video, Jones described the show he has starred on since 2003 as "filth."

"You can’t be a God-fearing person and be on a television show like that. I know I can’t," he said.

He added, "Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television, and especially with what you watch."

Jones is a member of a Seventh-day Adventist Church in Los Angeles

Jones, who recently turned 19, was television's highest paid child stars. He earned up to $300,000 per episode of "Two and a Half Men."

Jones and co-stars Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer reportedly signed one-year contracts in May when the show was renewed for its 10th – and possibly final – season.
