1. Springfield Symphony presents “Scheherazade” - January 12 at 7:30pm. One of the most enchanting compositions of all time, Rimsky-Kosakov’s lush setting of the Scheherezade tale from the “Arabian Nights,” is being presented by the Springfield Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall, led by Conductor Kevin Rhodes. 2. Eastern States Exposition presents the Springfield Bridal Expo – January 12-13. Check out Western Massachusetts’ biggest wedding show from 11am – 5pm in the Better Living Center at Eastern States Exposition. More than 150 companies will be on hand to offer help with wedding plans. 413.737.2443


3. Springfield Falcons vs. Connecticut Whale – January 18 at 7pm. The Springfield Falcons take on the Connecticut Whale at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. Enjoy fast-paced hockey action at its finest and root for the home team! For tickets call 413.739.GOAL.

4. Hu Ke Lau presents Tracy Morgan – February 18 at 7:30pm and 11pm. The irrepressible Tracy Morgan of “30 Rock” and “Saturday Night Live” takes the stage at the Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee. This adults-only show will bring the laughs! Arrive early to enjoy a delicious Polynesian dinner. 5. The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art presents Iconic Images: Ten Years of Collecting – Now through February 24. This Amherst attraction is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and this exhibit draws from more than 10,000 works now in the collection. Artists on view include William Steig, Maurice Sendak, Leo Lionni, Margot Zemach, and Arnold Lobel, as well as the great Eric Carle himself.
