I love chocolate, I love peanut butter and I love the combination of the two. I'm always looking for an ice cream combo that puts these two perfect ingredients together.

Of all the peanut butter/ chocolate combos I've tried I have to say Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter is by far my favorite.

On it's own, Haagen-Dazs chocolate ice cream is not the best. I find it to be lacking in sweetness, although it is creamy and dense which I like.

But when HG chocolate ice cream is combined with other ingredients it serves as an excellent base. Here the company brilliantly adds gobs of salty, creamy peanut butter to the mix making this a rich, dense, ridiculously fattening, amazing treat.

I think what makes this ice cream stand out to me is that the peanut butter is not a sauce or a swirl but actual chunks. While this can be problematic if you are trying to eat it straight out of the freezer, if you let it melt a bit it comes out in nice creamy morsels.

So, overall yummy ice cream, great peanut butter, wonderful combo.
