UMass graduate Mishy Lesser raises enough funds to screen film about Rwanda on American Public Television

AMHERST – A University of Massachusetts graduate and her filmmaking partner have been able to raise the more than $20,000 needed to ready their film “Coexist” for public television.

UMass graduate Mishy Lesser and filmmaker Adam Mazo needed the money to extend the film from 40 to 56 minutes and add close captioning as well.

More than 280 people contributed to the campaign. “Coexist” looks at violence and genocide in Rwanda as a place to talk about violence and bullying here. American Public Television contacted the filmmakers about airing the film.
