Trombonist and composer Craig Harris performs “Souls Within the Veil." In 2003, Harris composed this piece to commemorate the centennial of W. E. B. Du Bois' seminal work, “The Souls of Black Folk.” A 10-piece ensemble interprets Harris’ musical score, which captures the book’s timeless social commentary using Du Bois’ concept of Double Consciousness or the "two-ness" of being African and as well as American. 8 p.m. $12; $7 students.
