Thursday

DJ and electronic dance producer Tiesto. Tiesto’s Oct. 6 performance at the Mullins Center was rescheduled to Feb. 21, and tickets for the postponed show will be accepted. 7 p.m. $35 on Ticketmaster. Trombonist and composer Craig Harris performs “Souls Within the Veil." In 2003, Harris composed this piece to commemorate the centennial of W. E. B. Du Bois' seminal work, “The Souls of Black Folk.” A 10-piece ensemble interprets Harris’ musical score, which captures the book’s timeless social commentary using Du Bois’ concept of Double Consciousness or the "two-ness" of being African and as well as American. 8 p.m. $12; $7 students. Bowker Auditorium, UMass-Amherst.

Friday

Music After Dark. Come see music, poetry and more at UMass' Music After Dark, featuring Save Me John Stockton and Flagland. 8 p.m. Free. Reading Room, Campus Center, UMass-Amherst.

Tuba Masterclass. Professor Rex Martin from Northwestern University presents a masterclass with UMass-Amherst music department students performing on tuba. 7:30 p.m. Free.
