Warner Brothers is looking to release the buddy comedy in summer 2013.
After "The Hangover Part 2" took in $586 million in domestic and international ticket sales last summer was there any doubt that there would be a "Part 3"?
Hollywood loves a sure thing and Warner Brother is hoping lightning will strike three times.
The studio is looking to release the third installment in time for a summer 2013 release, but it won't come cheap.
The original "Hangover" was made in 2009 at a cost of $35 million. It raked in $469 million globally. Last year's sequel cost close to $86 million to make and took in $586 million at the box office, according to the-numbers.com
The Hollywood Reporter revealed stars Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms are asking for $15 million each to reprise their roles. It's a hefty pay hike since the the trio each earned less than $1 million for their roles in the first installment and about $5 million each for the sequel.
Aint It Cool says the planned film has been characterized as relying on a different conceit and structure than the first two films. "The Hangover Part 3" would be set in Los Angeles.
