The feuds between characters were happening throughout the halls of McKinley between characters as well as with those in New York.

Musical boxing matches were at the forefront of this week’s "Glee," appropriately named ‘Feud’. The theme of settling differences by using the songs of popular musician feuds was sparked by Tina, Blaine, and Artie who noticed the growing rift between Mr. Schuester and Finn since Finn’s confession of kissing Emma.

The feuds between characters were happening throughout the halls of McKinley between characters as well as with those in New York. The best way to get a grasp of what went down on “Glee” this week is to take a look at the feuds match by match.

Finn vs. Mr. Schuester:
As previously stated, the glee club kids noticed the growing tension between Finn and Mr. Schuester (who, from the scenes shown, was being a big diva about the whole situation) so they decided to have the two pick two feuding musical artists and settle their difference in song. What transpired was a songs cover Gleeks have long been waiting for; Nsync vs. Backstreet Boys. Using the glee kids as backup dancers, Mr. Schuester dawned puppet strings ala the original 2000 Nsync “Bye Bye Bye” video while he performed the iconic boy band song, while Finn blended in the 1999 Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way”. While the performance was incredible, and Finn was ready to call a truce between the two, Mr. Schuester said he couldn’t forgive him yet and walked away. Finn saw the disagreement as his cue to leave McKinley, not knowing where he would go from there.

While packing to leave, Marley stopped by to thank Finn for all he had done for her and encouraged him to consider a degree in teaching. From the smirk on Finn’s face, I think he liked that idea.

Blaine vs. Sue: Blaine was called in to Sue’s office where she began to badger him about his short lived stint with the Cheerios, producing what she claimed to be a binding contract signed by Blaine. He was quick to deny ever signing the document, and even after being handed a uniform resisted the idea of him returning to the team. Sue quickly turned evil, replacing Blaine’s beloved hair gel with a cement-like mixture, buying a house in his name, and ruining his parent’s credit. She even went as far as to hire a plane to pull a banner that read “Blaine is on the bottom” (yes, that’s a double entendre) around the school. Blaine then made a deal with the cheerleading coach to compete in a Mariah Carey vs. Nicki Minaj song duel, saying if he won he didn’t have to be a Cheerio, and if he lost he would join. While Blaine’s version of “I Still Believe” was sung to perfection, it was no match for the theatrics of Sue’s “Superbass” causing Blaine to dawn a form fitting Cheerios uniform for good.

Later, we see Blaine talking to Sam in the hall and it is revealed that Blaine planned losing and returning to the Cheerios so he could “bring them down from the inside” (hmm… that sounds an awful lot like a plot line from season one, where the Cheerios did that to the glee club).

Ryder vs. Unique:
This week, it seemed as though Ryder had a never before seen problem with Unique. After refusing to address Unique as a girl, the two are thrust in to a musical duel of their own. After a mash-up of Elton John’s “The B***h is back” and Madonna’s “Dress You Up” Ryder still cannot bring himself to call Unique a girl, saying that he doesn’t understand how she can be a boy but identify as a girl.

Throughout the episode Ryder is seen chatting online with a mystery girl named Katie. We find out that they have been chatting for a week but have never met in person. Katie helps Ryder see that he should respect Unique’s wishes to be treated as a girl and Ryder finally agrees and apologizes to Unique. He also apologizes to Marley for kissing her and almost ruining her relationship with Jake. At the end of the episode, Ryder is chatting with Katie in the library, when he asks her if they can meet he hears typing from somewhere in the room and then Katie is offline. If I had my guess, I’d say "Glee" is about to capitalize on the popularity of the MTV show “Catfish”.

Rachel vs. Santana vs. Brody:
In the beginning of the episode we see Rachel coming out of a clinic, just having found out that she is not pregnant (called it!). She thanks Santana for coming with her and is ready to leave, when Santana asks her if she is going to get rid of Brody now. Rachel tells Santana that Brody is not who Santana suspects him to be and she should let it go. The viewer then sees a scene in which we discover that Brody is in fact, a gigolo (called it again!) and Santana, after some deeper snooping, also discovers this. She proceeds to confront Brody at NYADA where she performs Paula Abdul’s “Cold Hearted” to get him to understand that she is on to him. She returns to the Bushwick apartment to an angry Rachel and Kurt who received a call from Brody saying Santana harassed him at school. The roommates ask Santana to leave (which she agrees to, saying she just met Lena Dunham who offered her a place to stay. Why can’t we all be that lucky?) but Santana is not done with her Brody investigation yet.

At the end of the episode we see Brody entering the hotel room of what of his “clients” who turns out to be none other than Santana setting him up. Brody tries to tell Santana that he isn’t afraid of her, to which she reveals one Finn Hudson who proceeds to beat the crap out of Brody and then tells him to “stay away from my future wife” (long live Finchel!)

Next week, we are sure to see more to the Brody saga, Rachel has to find out Finn is there right? I mean, he called her his future wife. The "Glee" kids will take on “guilty pleasure” songs featuring the music of acts such as the Spice Girls, Wham!, Abba, and more. Looking at the promo, we may get another glimpse at the Sam/Blaine love thing again, as we see Blaine ask Sam, “Do you have feelings for me?”.
