After two weeks of high scores from judges, 16-year-old Disney Channel actress Zendaya is the early frontrunner on season 16 of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
An impressive jive set to "The Head I Hold" earned Zendaya and professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy a 26 out of a possible 30 on Monday night.
The dynamic duo are not strangers to the No. 1 spot on "DWTS." They were the high scorers last week when they received a 24 for a contemporary routine. Their two-week total stands at 50 out of a possible 60.
A combination of judges' scores and viewer votes will determine which one of the 12 celebrities will be the first sent home on Tuesday night.
Comic D.L. Hughley had the lowest combined score from judges - a 28 out of a 60 for weeks 1 and 2. In 12th place, he seemed to be the likely choice for elimination, barring a surprise save from viewers.
Contestants taking part this season are: Zendaya, Hughley, country singers Wynonna Judd and Kellie Pickler; comic Andy Dick; Olympians Dorothy Hamill and Alexandra Raisman; reality TV personalities Sean Lowe ("The Bachelor") and Lisa Vanderpump ("The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"); "General Hospital" actor Ingo Rademacher; boxer Victor Ortiz; and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones.
