Friendly's Fruit Swirls Orange Creme sherbet and ice cream a perfect combo.
I stopped by Big Y during my lunch break to pick up a flavor to review this week and was pleasantly surprised to see Friendly's had a buy 1 get 2 free deal.
I ended up picking up a few flavors I haven't tried including Friendly's Fruit Swirls Orange Creme. I've been looking for an orange sherbet for a while now and I keep running across options that don't quite make the cut.
I think I have found the perfect orange sherbet and it's due in part to the sherbet/ ice cream combo offered up in this half gallon.
Friendly's makes great classic flavors like vanilla, chocolate and strawberry and this treat is no exception. The vanilla ice cream here is sweet and creamy and perfect.
The orange sherbet is also wonderful, smooth and fruity but with just a hint of citrus flavor.
Since I ate it so slowly because I wanted to savor every bite the ice cream started melting and I was able to spot little flecks of orange pulp, which was an awesome surprise.
I give this ice cream/sherbet combo four scoops. This will definitely be in my fridge this summer.
