The "Baywatch" actress is the fourth contestant injured in the high dive competition.
"Splash," the celebrity diving competition on ABC, appears to have claimed another injury. Nicole Eggert, the 41-year-old former "Baywatch" actress, was hurt after a bad landing from a dive during a taping of the show on Thursday, the Los Angeles Times reported.
USA Today reported the actress was hospitalized for several hours because doctors were concerned about internal injuries, especially to her kidneys. The extent of her injuries has not been made public.
Eggert is not the first contestant injured during the high dive competition.
"Chelsea Lately" sidekick Chuy Bravo, who fractured his heel, dropped out before the series aired. Miss Alabama Katherine Webb suffered a back injury and has since left the show. Skier Rory Bushfield ruptured an eardrum during a dive but didn't quit the show.
