Check out the trailer for Gibson's return to action flick.
Mel Gibson's "Get the Gringo," will debut on DirecTV in May before its release on Blu-ray, DVD, video-on-demand and digital download.
A throwback to "Payback," the action flick finds Gibson playing a career criminal jailed in Mexico. Adrian Grunberg, first assistant director on Gibson's "Apocalypto," directed the movie, which he co-wrote with Gibson. Formerly titled "How I Spent My Summer Vacation," it was produced by Gibson and will be released theatrically overseas.
Gibson's off-screen legal and domestic problems have detracted from his once blockbuster career.
