Club Scout: Mass Laughs come back to the The Elevens

This month's lineup features Brian Beaudoin and Pat Oates.

It's hard enough sometimes for clubs to sustain booking good local music. Booking comedy is probably even tougher.

It's not that there's a lack of talent in either category, it's just that sometimes the competition with other clubs or other forms of entertainment these days make it difficult for people to choose to go out to see a live band or live comedy show when so many other options exist.

That's why The Elevens in Northampton deserves kudos for having both, especially the comedy part. And speaking of that, on Friday, May 17 the club's Mass Laughs comedy buffet returns to the stage there. This month's lineup features Brian Beaudoin and Pat Oates. Beaudoin is Comedy Connection circuit performer while
Oats is a Sirius XM radio personality who used to be the resident comic at Foxwoods Casino.

The show will be hosted by comic Zack Livingston. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. with the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $7 in advance and $9 at the door. You must be 21 to enter the club.

For tickets go to www.masslaughscomedy.com or call (413) 250-3801. The Elevens is at 140 Pleasant St.
