Tickets for several summer shows go on sale this week.
Six Flags New England will usher in the concert season on June 2 with its annual WKSS-FM, KISS 95.7, Summer Kick Off Concert. Featured acts include Carly Rae Jepsen (“Call Me Maybe“), Cher Lloyd (“Want U Back“) and Hot Chelle Rae (“Tonight Tonight“). Also on the bill: Little Mix, Chris Wallace, Kat Graham, and Sky Blue from LMFAO. The concert is free with admission to the Agawam amusement park. The gates for the outdoor show will open at 2:30 p.m.
Michael Buble performs at the XL Center in Hartford on Sept. 25. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets and locations including ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000. Tickets are priced at $99.50 and $54.50.
Ke$ha will arrive at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on Aug. 23. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster beginning Friday at 10 a.m. Tickets are $49.
Kiss is back on tour this summer and will play Mohegan Sun Arena on Aug. 10. Tickets are on sale now through all Ticketmaster outlets and locations. Tickets are priced at $96 and $76.
“The Rascals: Once Upon A Dream“ comes to Mohegan Sun Arena on Aug. 30. Produced by E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt, the bio-concert reunited The Rascals after a 40 year hiatus. The concert performance tells the history of the band and the era through a 30-song concert, film clips, and narration. Tickets are $45 and on sale beginning Friday through Ticketmaster.
If you missed the “Midwest Rock’ n’ Roll Express” tour that brought Styx and REO Speedwagon to the MassMutual Center last month, the tour (minus Ted Nugent) comes back through the region with an Aug. 24 date at Mohegan Sun Arena. Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster.
Cheap Trick will perform at the MGM Grand Theater at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods on Aug. 28. Tickets are on sale beginning May 17 through foxwoods.com or by calling (866) 646-0609. Tickets are priced at $37.50.
Lyle Lovett has announced an appearance right next door at the Fox Theater at Foxwoods on July 12. Tickets are on sale beginning May 24 through foxwoods.com and by phone at (866) 646-0609. Tickets are priced at $45.
Caravan of Thieves performs at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton on Sept. 21. Tickets are $12.50 in advance and available through the Northampton Box Office at (413) 586-8686 or online at iheg.com. According to the band’s website, “if Django Reinhardt, the cast of Stomp and the Beatles all had a party at Tim Burton’s house, Caravan of Thieves would be the band they hired.”
Death Before Dishonor and Lionheart are coming to The Palladium in Worcester on June 16. Tickets, priced at $12 in advance, go on sale on May 21 through massconcerts.com
Loudon Wainwright III plays the Bull Run Restaurant in Shirley on June 1. Tickets are available through the venue website at bullrunrestaurant.com. The venue also brings in The Young Dubliners (July 19), Debbie Davies (Aug. 17) and Shawn Mullins on Aug. 22.
The Average White Band comes to Infinity Hall in Norfolk, Conn., on Oct. 6. Tickets for the concert go on sale through infinityhall.com beginning May 23. Tickets are priced at $55 and $40.
Aretha Franklin has canceled a May 26 appearance at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Conn., under a doctor’s recommendation. Further details on the singer’s health were not made public.
