WESTFIELD - The Westfield Athenaeum has added six new destinations to its collection of museum passes, nearly doubling the number of passes available to the public. Many passes provide free admission while others offer discounted admission.
The new passes are for the Wadsworth Athenaeum in Hartford, Historic Deerfield, the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, the Connecticut Trolley Museum in East Windsor, Conn., and the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
Museum passes are available to any individual holding a library card in good standing. Pass reservations can be made online at westath.org/how-do-i/reserve-a-museum-pass or at the Reference Desk by calling (413) 562-0716. Museum passes are made possible by donations of the Friends of the Westfield Athenaeum.
Other passes available include for the Amelia Park Children's Museum in Westfield, which offers half-price admission for up to four guests, and for the Zoo in Forest Park in Springfield, which offers free admission for up to five guests.
The basketball hall of fame pass provides discounted admission for up to six guests. Other passes offer discounted admissions, free rides on the Holyoke Merry-Go-Round carousel.
A state parks pass offers free entry for one vehicle at more than 50 day-use facilities across the Bay State.
