Jesse Leach is expected to rejoin Killswitch Engage as its lead singer following the departure of Howard Jones last month.

Roadrunner Records, the metal band's label, said a major announcement would be made Wednesday. The band's official website features a prominent picture of members with Leach.

Leach was evasive when asked by Australia's Loud magazine about his return. “You don’t have to know everything. These days everybody is on Facebook and tweeting everything that happens. What happened to the mystery of music and not knowing everything?”

Leach was the Westfield band's lead singer from its founding in 1999 through 2002. He sang on the band’s first two albums — 2000′s self-titled effort and 2002′s "Alive or Just Breathing."

Jones had been the voice of the KsE for the past nine years, but he left last month citing personal and health reasons, including unchecked diabetes.

In announcing Jones departure, bassist Mike D'Antonio, guitarists Adam Dutkiewicz and Joel Stroetzel and drummer Justin Foley. D'Antonio released a statement making it clear the band would continue. "(Howard Jones) has left big shoes to fill, so we certainly have our work cut out for us to find the next singer of Killswitch, something we plan on making priority #1 going forward."

D'Antonio, Dutkiewicz and Stroetzel have been with Killswitch Engage since its inception in 1999. Foley joined the band in 2003.
