Country singer Kellie Pickler waltzed home with the tacky, but highly coveted, mirror ball trophy Tuesday night on the conclusion of season 16 of ABC's "Dancing With the Stars"

She was one of four finalists from an initial field of 12 celebrity contestants. The three other finalists were Disney Channel actress Zendaya, Olympic gymnast Alexandra Raisman and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones.

Raisman was eliminated at the start of the broadcast, leaving Zendaya, Pickler and Jones to perform "instant " dances before the judges and score to additional points.

Zendaya held a one-point lead over Pickler in the judges' eyes, but the winner was based on a combination of those scores and viewer votes.

Also taking part in the competition were "General Hospital" actor Ingo Rademacher, "The Bachelor's" Sean Lowe, comedians Andy Dick and D.L. Hughley, boxer Victor Ortiz, Lisa Vanderpump of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," country singer Wynonna Judd, and Olympic skating legend Dorothy Hamill.

When "DWTS" returns in the fall, it will undergo changes. ABC will drop the clip-laden Tuesday results show. The previous week's eliminated dancer will be announced on the main show, which has aired on Monday nights.

There has been speculation producers may try to broaden the show's appeal with younger viewers. Whether that means ABC may look for younger contestants or a change in the panel of judges or co-hosts is uncertain.
