SHELBURNE - The Piti Theatre Co. is seeking dancers and movers of all ages for an original performance at Riverfest in Shelburne Falls on June 8.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Deerfield River Watershed Association has asked the Piti company to create an original performance for Riverfest.
This year, Piti's artistic directors are extending the invitation to the public, from ages 6 and up (including adults) who would like to be dancers and movers in a dance-music-poetry celebration of the Deerfield River titled "A River to the Sea."
Children ages 4 and 5 are welcome if accompanied by an adult. The minimum commitment is attending one rehearsal in Shelburne Falls on June 6 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and coming to the performance itself at 1 p.m. on June 8 at Memorial Hall.
