Peanut butter and chocolate are my favorite combination for all sweets including candy, brownies, cake, you name it. I will pretty much eat anything if those two ingredients are in it.
I stumbled upon Haagen-Dazs' limited edition Peanut Butter Pie at the grocery store yesterday and while I was pretty sure I would like it, I had no idea that I would fall in love.
I previously reviewed Haagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream and while the chocolate base was not my favorite I was blown away by the peanut butter swirl used in the treat. It was salty and tasted like peanut butter straight from the jar. Well, the peanut butter swirl is back and it's still amazing.

I've already praised the peanut butter swirl so let's move on to the ice cream itself. This is by far one of my favorite peanut butter flavors ever. It's rich and creamy but the peanut butter taste is subtle. On it's own it might be a bit bland but when you add the peanut butter swirl it's a perfect bite of peanut buttery goodness in every bite.
The chocolate cookies here are generous and soft, but they don't have much flavor. The peanut butter definitely overpowers this treat and that's fine by me.
Since I pretty much consumed the whole pint I'm going have to go with five scoops on this one. If you love peanut butter go to the store and get this today.
