Upcoming concert news: Albert Cummings, Alison Krauss, Bonnie Raitt and more

Tickets are on sale this week for several upcoming shows.

The Iron Horse Music Hall has new shows listed with local blues star Albert Cummings on April 6 and The Felice Brothers on April 19. Tickets for both are available by calling (413) 586-8686 or online through iheg.com.

After her Grammy appearance singing with Alicia Keys, Bonnie Raitt announced the release of her new record “Slipstream” along with a summer tour. That tour will come to Mountain Park in Holyoke on June 8. Tickets are available through the Northampton Box Office beginning Friday, Feb 17 by calling (413) 586-8686 or online through iheg.com. Tickets are priced at $75.50, $55.50, and $35.50. The Mountain Park concert features special guest Mavis Staples. The album will be released on April 20.

Alison Krauss and Union Station featuring Jerry Douglas will play the Toyota presents the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford Conn., on April 21. Tickets will be available through livenation.com and all Ticketmaster outlets and locations including ticketmaster.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and are priced at $75 and $35.

The U.S. 94th Army Rock Band will perform a free public concert featuring top hits from the last three decades. The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Hosted by Springfield Armory National Historic Site, the concert will take place in the Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) Theatre, Building 2 (Scibelli Hall). The six-piece band will play music covers from the era of Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, U2, and many others in the 90-minute program. The show was originally scheduled for August but postponed due to Hurricane Irene.

“Music for Melissa,“ a benefit concert to provide financial assistance to local resident Melissa Eaton, is scheduled for Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. at West Springfield’s Majestic Theater. Eaton, who recently relocated to her native Pioneer Valley with her husband and daughter, was diagnosed in November with multiple sclerosis and faces debilitating medical fees for her treatment. Popular Majestic Theater performers will entertain at the benefit, including Mitch Chakour, Frank Manzi, Ben Ashley, Floyd Patterson, Ray Guillemette, Jr., Aaron Porchelli, Amy Porchelli, Lori Efford, Luis Manzi, Marian Karpells, Nicki Meldonian, Meghan Lynn Allen, Lea Oppedisano and others. Tickets are $19 and $21 and are available by calling the box office at (413) 747-7797 or visiting during box office hours (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.).
