Tickets are on sale for several promising shows in 2012.
Mary Chapin Carpenter JD Souther’s Jan. 12 show at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton has been moved because of a scheduling conflict. A new date will be announced for the spring and previously purchased tickets will be honored.
Talking Heads tribute Start Making Sense comes to the Iron Horse on March 2. Tickets are available for $12.50 in advance through the Northampton Box Office at (413) 586-8686 and online at iheg.com
Shelby Lynne arrives at the Iron Horse on March 25. Tickets are $35 on advance and available through the Northampton Box Office. Other new shows at the club include Jeff Bujak on April 14 and Orange Television on May 5.
Eight to The Bar will perform at Infinity Hall in Norfolk, Conn., on March 2. Tickets are $15 and $10 and available through infinityhall.com beginning Dec. 29. Tickets are also on sale that day for the Asleep at the Wheel performance on March 29, and Los Lobos on April 1.
Infinity Hall has also announced a special performance with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin on April 28. The event is billed as an acoustic show with music and storytelling. Tickets are on sale Thursday and priced at $95 and $150 with the latter ticket price including a meet-and-greet cocktail reception after the show.
Holland native Jonathan Mason got an early Christmas present when he signed an endorsement deal with Spector Bass Guitar Company. Mason is the bass player the Andy Needham Band, a modern worship group now recording in Nashville.
The YankCelt Band has released its 2012 schedule with plans to visit six separate locals in the Pioneer Valley. The tentative list includes stops at The Elks Lodge in West Springfield (March 9), The Cedars at St. Anthony’s in Springfield (March 10), the Majestic Theater in West Springfield (March 13), the Holyoke Elks(March 16), Theodores’ in Springfield on St. Patrick’s Day, and O’Driscoll’s in Wilbraham on March 18.
