Two months after WHYN-FM, Mix 93.1, pulled the plug on "The Dan and Kim Show," the Springfield station has introduced its new morning hosts.
Chris Zito and Karen Boyd took over the 5:30 to 10 a.m. slot on the FM station on Monday morning.
Zito, who has worked in radio for more than 20 years, previously worked at WODS-FM, Oldies 103.3, in Boston.
One of the duo's first guests on "The Morning Mix with Zito and Karen" was Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno.

"The Dan and Kim Morning Show" with Dan Williams and Kim Zachary originally began on WHYN-AM, 560, in 1995 before switching over to the FM band in 1997. The couple married 10 years ago and have a 3-year-old daughter, Jillian.
No reason was given for not renewing their contract when the show ended its run.
