A July 7 show at the Mohegan Sun Casino is now listed as "postponed."
The recently reunited Van Halen has abruptly canceled more than 35 concert dates, including a July 7 show at the Mohegan Sun Casino, with no explanation.
The concert dates disappeared from the band's official website. No reason was given by the band.
As it stands now, the last date on the tour, which reunited the Van Halen brothers Alex and Eddie with original lead singer David Lee Roth, will take place on June 26 in New Orleans, according to HitFix.
On the Mohegan Sun Casino website, the July 7 concert is listed as "postponed." According to a statement from the casino, "The Van Halen show at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT will be temporarily postponed. Future dates to be announced. Refunds are available at point of purchase."
Van Halen performed a strong 22-song show before a sold out crowd at the 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena on March 3.
Individual market announcements regarding postponements began today, Pollstar reported. Newspapers in Salt Lake City and El Paso reported that promoters didn’t offer explanations for the bad news.
A source with knowledge of the tour told Rolling Stone that Van Halen's members "hate each other." Adds the source, "The band is arguing like mad. They are fighting."
The tour is in support of “A Different Kind of Truth,” the band's first studio album with Roth since 1984.
