The Oscars will honor the 50-year-old film franchise on February 24.
The Academy Awards are set to honor film's longest running franchise, James Bond, on its 50th anniversary.
Rumors from both sides of the pond suggest that Oscar producers are hoping to arrange an onstage appearance on Feb. 24 of the six men who have played 007 on film – Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
Britain's Daily Mail suggests that the 82-year-old Connery may be a hold out. However, TMZ reads into a remark by Brosnan on the gathering – "Well, they'll be missing one" – that he will not take part.
"Skyfall," the latest and most successful Bond film, is up for five Academy Awards: cinematography, bets score, best song, sound editing and sound mixing.
