These last few weeks have been a bit of a roller coaster ride for Mad Men, with one of the most kinetic episodes of the series being framed by some of the slowest and most underwhelming. Taking a look at the preview clip posted below, it seems like we may experience another very active, and potentially game-changing episode in "The Crash."
The most notable thing I noticed in this preview are the states of Don and Ted (Jon Hamm and Kevin Rahm). Don seems to be walking around in a fox the entire preview, before delivering a stressed "We cannot go on like this" to someone. Ted seems stressed out as well, thought his issues could be much more focused on the creative direction of a project, or the result of a decision of his in a pitch meeting.
Beyond that, we can see the Ken (Vincent Kartheiser) is still chastising people for tasteless comments, while it seems like Stan (Jay R. Ferguson) may be having a dark moment related to the Kennedy assassination from last week's episode. In fact, I'd guess a lot of the depressed and anxiety-ridden looks we can see on the faces of all the characters in this preview clip will be tied to the assassination, which means we may actually have some carry-over from the end of last week's episode.
It's hard to try and pin down what else may be going on in the clip above. For now, we'll just have to wait until Sunday to see what the aftermath of the Kennedy assassination will be.
